Presentation of WONET project on 27th session of the Assembly of City Municipality Savski venac

27th session of the Assembly of City Municipality Savski venac was held on Wednesday, December 30^th 2015 starting at 16:00 in premises of Municipality Administration in Kneza Milosa street nr. 69/I, in the big hall. The Assembly of Municipality has 37 representatives in total, 31 of whom were present on 27^th session. Along with the Assembly representatives, the session was also attended by representatives of the Municipality Administration: president of Municipality, members of Council, chiefs of municipal services, COs of public companies, as well as by several citizens. The most important agenda item was the approval of the municipal budget for the fiscal year 2016. As part of the approved budget for 2016, financial means for pre-financing WONET project are planned in the amount of 46500 Euro (60%). Pre-financing for the remaining 40% has already been secured by the European Commission as donor.

One of the 9 agenda items of the session was the presentation of WONET project to the representatives of the Assembly of City Municipality. Presentation was delivered by the project coordinator Bojan Milosavljevic. Coordinator introduced representatives to basic project concept, partners, activities and financial construction. Experiences were presented from two seminars that had been accomplished. Both seminars had been realized in accordance with the planned framework: number of participants, time and place of conducting activities, work schedule, planned financial means.

After the presentation, coordinator suggested to representatives to adopt the European Chart of Gender Equality in one of the coming sessions. Coordinator invited women representatives to apply for participation in WONET seminars.

Before this session, WONET project had already been presented to members of the municipal Commission for local economic development and to members of municipal Council.

After the session, 4 women representatives from 4 different political parties, as well as several women municipal clerks, applied for participation in 2 following WONET seminars in Slovenia and Croatia.
