Photo reportage from a field visit to Public Employment Service in Nova Gorica

Field visit to Public Employment Service County office Nova Gorica

Participants of international WONET project visited premises of Public Employment Service in Nova Gorica on February 26th 2016. Service representatives Kladis Kravos and Andreja Ipavec gave an interesting presentation on work market trends with focus on women in area of Nova Gorica and in Republic of Slovenia. The presented data led to a conclusion that problems faced by women on work market are almost identical in all the countries in the region. For example, women are mostly employed on jobs related to health care, education and social care, while one of the differences is in the age structure of unemployed women: most of the unemployed women are between 30 and 39 years of age, and in other countries the most of them are between 25 and 29 years of age. It has also been noticed that the principles of operation of such services in countries in the region are very similar to the services they offer. It is interesting that in Public Employment Service County Offfice in Nova Gorica all of the 34 employees are women, and the only mail is this here cactus.
