
This new network of project partners was created throughout three regional seminars organized by national points for Europe for Citizens program in Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. Seminars were conducted in late 2014 in Ljubljana, Zagreb and Belgrade in the context of the first annual call in 2015 announced by EACEA for project proposals for Europe for Citizens program.

Gradska opština Savski venac/The City Municipality of Savski venac is central Municipality in the City of Belgrade, Serbia and is the project responsible. The City Municipality of Savski venac is a leader in activities related to EU projects in Belgrade (we implemented a lot of EU projects, according to ecology and energy efficiency), so we coordinate with all other municipalities in Belgrade (17 of them). We have a link between citizens and the local authority, a mechanism that allows citizens to collaborate with institutions that directly affect decision-making in problem solving and improving the quality of life in local communities, in order to promote social activism and human rights. We also have Info point for citizens according to topic of energy efficiency. The City Municipality of Savski venac is a local public authority implementing the regional development policies according to general objectives and priorities for development in the area of economic, social and territorial cohesion.

The Citizens' Association CIVIS from Belgrade was founded in 2007 by the representatives of non-governmental organizations from Serbia and Southeast Europe which had already been actively involved in the stabilization process in the region. CIVIS Association acquired participatory status at the Council of Europe’s Conference of International NGOs soon after it was founded. The CIVIS Association is active in the process of acceleration of the European integration of the Western Balkans, empowerment of civil society, human rights education, economic development, interreligious dialogue, youth empowerment and in the publishing domain – it publishes books and various publications. Additionally, CIVIS is active in international conferences and meetings (e.g. in Serbia, Azerbaijan, Qatar, Belgium, Montenegro, Croatia, France). Members of CIVIS: PHILIA – Association of multi ethnic cities in the SEE; Igman Initiative; Citizens Initiatives; European Movement in Serbia; Standing Conference of Towns; etc.

LAS Društvo za razvoj podeželja med Snežnikom in Nanosom/The Society for Rural Development of the Land between Snežnik and Nanos from Ilirska Bistrica in Slovenia was established in 2007. It has 127 members on territory of three Municipalities – Ilirska Bistrica, Pivka and Postojna. It aims to develop the local community including women, to promote gender balance and human rights. The Society implements tasks and projects which are aligned with the local priorities, potential and other factors specified by the local community as its interests and needs. Priorities of the Society are to: improve competencies and quality of non-formal education and to improve the skills, tools and educational methods of staff; to establish new partnerships with the EU organizations and to improve the leadership skills of the staff; to improve competencies of staff for women education so that they will be able to improve the level of entrepreneurship of the women, their sense of self-motivation and their readiness for networking and cooperation.

Svetlost from Šabac, Serbia is a civil society organization promoting: human rights, gender equality, voluntarism, a non-violent culture, intercultural activities, employability and sustainable development issues; development of individuals and teams (capacity building); cultural, social and economic integration of marginalized and vulnerable categories, active citizenship, healthy life style, and all positive values. Svetlost activities are: trainings, workshops, conferences, debates, public events, awareness-raising campaigns, researches and need analyses. Svetlost organizes training courses and study visit for youth workers working with vulnerable groups since 2006; several youth culture projects, mostly in the local context and 2 international campaigns with the aim to promote employment and voluntarism; inclusion and social rights. Staff has a long term experience in applying non-formal and informal methodologies in the activities and long term experience in managing, promoting and organizing international projects.

Comune di San Dorligo della Valle/The Municipality of Dolina from Italy is is a local authority that represents their community, looks after the needs and encourages its development in social and natural environment, including gender balance and human and women rights. One of the basic tasks of the department is to lead the implementation procedures of projects. The department also performs professional, administrative and other tasks in the field of environmental protection and organize all cultural events for which the municipality is responsible. The department also performs professional, administrative and other tasks in the field of environmental protection and management of the Regional Natural reserve Valley of Glinščica/Rosandra and organizes all cultural events for which the Municipality is responsible. Equipment at its disposal service is modern and provides the design of a wide range of investments and events.

Međugeneracijski volonterski centar/Intergenerational center from Belgrade is a gathering place for children, youth, women and disabled and elderly citizens at the local level. The program promotes culture, education and training, artistic creativity, way of thinking, physical activities, supports mixed groups, family/individual without/with special needs through different kind of workshops. These workshops connect more generations, help ethics, social and intellectual development, psychophysical functions (perception, memory, good will), nurture ability of logical and critical thinking. Workshops have taken an active approach - the participants have the possibility to design and conduct workshop with the help of moderators who are working as a volunteers. Stimulus program of inclusion is innovative character with effective using local resources.

CESI from Zagreb, Croatia, is a feminist organization that advocates for advancement of women and realization of gender equality, and for full implementation of laws and international mechanisms for the protection of human rights. CESI is established in 1997 in response to problems of the violation of human rights, in particular women's and minority rights, nationalism, militarization, and the deterioration of economic standards in the post-war period. It is founded by several women's and peace initiatives with professional experience in working with women war survivors. We analyzed a number of laws pertaining to gender equality and their compliance with EU legislation; we drafted recommendations for improvement of protection of women rights and political participation of women and youth. We conduct trainings on gender equality and we have educated more than 300 members of county committees for the implementation of gender mainstreaming.

TRIM is a civil society organization from Hvar, Croatia. TRIM aims to improve the quality of life on the island, reduce emigration and unemployment by promoting and increasing active citizenship. It contributes the development of the local community and has an influence on the creation of policies that promote human rights and gender equality, with the aim to build a modern and democratic society in Croatia. It aims to empower the vulnerable groups, especially children, young people, women, persons with disabilities, and elderly people on island. Trim is focused mostly on women, because they are the initiators of positive changes in the family and community. Trim organizes different kind of activities (exhibitions, events, voluntary actions, workshops, trainings and projects) on different themes: the equal opportunities, employment and self-employment, social entrepreneurship, etc. We increase the number of socially included women by encouraging their participation in activities which contribute improving of their opportunities.

Krapinsko-Zagorska Županija/Krapina Zagorje County is a regional self-government unit in Croatia. It is a public body that takes care of public interests on regional level. It implements tasks and activities in the field of education, spatial and physical planning, economic development, planning and development of network of educational, health, social and cultural institutions. In 2011 the County has established the County Commission for Gender Equality. The purpose of the Commission is encouragement, connectivity and coordinating of the activities of all bodies of importance for achieving gender equality in the County as well as to take measures that contribute the creating of conditions for respect and Gender Equality. One of them is to increase the involvement of women in identification of the problems faced by them in the County and creating preconditions for political articulation of problems faced by woman. The County is also in the process of signing The European Charter for Equality of Women and Men in Local Life.

Institution Foundation BiT Planota from nova Gorica in Slovenia was established as local development foundation with the aim to develop the rural area and NGO and civil sector in the Northern Primorska Region. Within the Foundation operates regional development centre for NGOs. Its aim is to promote the development of NGOs and civil society: to strengthen the competencies of NGOs for more efficient operation, build the dialogue with local authorities, to promote networking among NGOs, stimulate the development of volunteering, women countryside development and voluntary corporative actions and to encourage collaboration with other sectors. We have established numerous contacts with NGOs in the region. We collaborate also with other organizations and institutions, municipalities and development agencies. We have at our disposal our own skilled staff, appropriate computer equipment and rooms for the implementation of workshops, meetings, lectures and organization of other events.

Liceulice is a civil society organization from Belgrade, Serbia and it empowers activism, art activism, inclusion of marginalized groups, inter-sectorial cooperation and inclusive processes in the society. The most known activity is issuing of the street paper Liceulice that is dealing with social topics and promoting activism, democratic values, CSR, social inclusion, affirmation of multiculturalism, gender equality, women rights, etc. In four years the magazine Liceulice became notable and influential member of world community of street papers. Liceulice is also a member of Social Economy Network of Serbia and Independent cultural scene of Serbia. In last three years we launched Liceulice in Sarajevo, Pristina and Skopje, in partnership with local organizations. Liceulice has also initiated the first street festival of activism Vreva, Regional forum of social communications For good causes, permanent action My neighbor without a roof (launched with one goal – direct help to homeless people, with focus on women living in streets).
